Angel Schlesser was adamant that he required sober packaging for this men’s cologne. It had to elegant by virtue of its simplicity, as if it had always existed. Toni Arola’s bottle is a block of clear glass, reminiscent of an inkpot. I was able to have the cap produced in bakelite instead of plastic. The weight and feel are quite special. The box is not actually a box, but a wrapping which is destroyed when it is opened: it comprises an internal part made of black microcorrugated material, wrapped in mirror cellophane and a black, textured band of card.
