This is Ferran Adrià's line of cutlery, with items from various designers. Ferran wanted the brand to show the teamwork as well as the activity itself, so we proposed the name FACES, and our first suggestion used Ferran Adrià's face together with the industrial designer's face, on the front of the boxes. They liked the name very much and also the concept, although they finally opted for a more conventional design.
We cut into the logo to make a subtle reference to the brand activity. We chose yellow and black to distinguish the range from the competitive brands, who mainly use red, and also because the colours express Ferran Adrià's vitality and energy.
As in many other cases, we designed some boxes for the initial launch and established the guidelines for the design. Afterwards, the Faces company has created photos, packaging and other applications where we have not intervened.
